My trusty dog Digger!

So……Being as there has not been much family events lately, I thought I would post a little something about myself from when I was a wee lad. I love to tell stories, so look forward (or not) to seeing many more like the following.

At first glance you would almost think the picture was one of Dylan maybe its the hair, but it is actually me when I was about his age, maybe a little older. The dog in the picture was my 1st, his name was digger. He was a feisty little fella. I remember he bit my nose once. That may have been why Digger went away. My parents never really shed light on that story. Its funny how much I can remember from such an early age. I remember that little bike I am on, I loved that thing. I also remember those shoes, they were zip-up shoes which was handy. No laces. See the sofa in the backround? Gosh was that an ugly sofa. My parents had it recovered some years later. Wise decision. Anyway I miss Ireland sometimes, it was cozy in our home and as I am typing this I can hear myself talking the words in an Irish accent. I miss it, so with that I leave you, slán agat.

Be Safe Out There….

Good evening all, I hope everyone is well. I have been watching the storm in the news most of the day as I am sure most everyone has, and my heart goes out to all those people. The video just looks insane as to all the damage it has caused. I know when the tree fell on our house it was pretty difficult to deal with, but that was minor compaired to what I have been seeing. North Atlanta is under a tornado warning, one touched down in Gwinnett, be careful Kelly and Joey. Also Alabama is getting hit hard too. Take care you folks over there. Anyway our thoughts and prayers are with everyone to the West.

Up and Coming Wedding.

Just a quick note, I have added a section to the right called “Coming Events” As you can see right now the big event that is coming is Kelly & Joey’s Wedding. Please make a note of it! :)

ME!

Anyway, I am home sick the last 2 days, fun times (not really). I have watched a lot of TV, those ladies on “the view” they sure do like to interrupt each other a lot, I cannot for the life of me keep up with their yammerin! Maybe its the head cold clogging my senses when trying to tune into 5 women chatting all at once. Although I don t seem to have a problem when the Colson girls are going 100 miles an hour all hopped up on cappies. ;) That can actually be a lot of fun to be around.

Anyway I promised a picture of the finished room. Danyelle and Mom Colson got to see it yesterday on a suprise visit over here, and it was a hot mess, not really how I wanted to show off our finished work, but oh well. I always like seeming them anyway.

I knew when we remodeled it we wanted it to be a room we could spend more time in. I had no idea I would get sick and spend the next 3 days in it, now I am ready to get better please!

Ok back to bed I go. See ya!

While you were out….But we never left.

So Jackie and I decided to try a hand at bedroom maker over. We have been living in our home for over a year and have never been really happy with our bedroom. The colors were just dull and not really a room you wanted to hang out in. So as a weekend project we decided to paint, spackle and do up our bedroom. We replaced the fan which was noisy when running and it hung a little lower then I cared for, plus it just didn’t fit well with the room. We went with a soft green color for the walls and an off white for the ceiling. The last owners didn’t take much care when painting this room last time, so it was a little tricky to paint the edges and not follow their mistakes with the pain lines. In the end the project was a success. I always thought I hated painting, but realized I just hate painting outside, inside painting is actually fun. Jackie and I had a good time together and now our bedroom is a lot more welcoming. I will post a picture of the finished room soon, for now though you get to see a before shot. :)

*update* and then there was meat….

So today we had a Swim Party/Cookout over at the McDows. I wanted to get some pictures of the boys jumping into the pool. I think I got some pretty good “air” shots.

We had a huge amount of meat to cook out, so we all stuffed ourselves and enjoyed the good times. I have some video of the boys I will post up here once I get it off the camera.

Enjoy the photos for now!

Happy Birthday MoM!!

Sorry for the lack of updates recently. With things in high gear at work, back to school madness is in full swing. For those that do not know, I manage the networking and computers for 5 schools in Houston County, that’s about 400 staff and Lord knows how many computers. It seems they all want a piece of me at the moment. It pays the bills though and I wouldn’t trade it for any other job at the moment. Its a great place to work.

Jackie has been enjoying her school break although it seems she still slowed down. I guess it is just her nature.

The rain and thunder have been something crazy tonight, poor scruffy wont leave anyone’s side. He gets so scared. Poor little fella.

I realized the other day that I actually know a lot more Irish then I thought. Its funny how quickly words come back.

The above was just a rambling thought. You may ignore it :)

WooHooo! for Jackie!

Jackie finished school tonight! ( well she is actually there now taking her final as I write this) She has had a very stressfull summer semester, but she pushed through. Taking 4 classes in a condensed session plus working at a new job on the AFB has been very rough. But she did it, like I knew she could do it! Thanks baby for being so strong, and smart too!

Oh not much.

Hey all, not much to really report on. Things have been pretty quiet. Summer is coming to an end, and school is about to kick into high gear for one young man. Emmett starts his 1st day of public school this Firday. He will have the fun pleasure of riding the big yellow cheese wagon! Good luck E-Man!
