So last Saturday I was driving down Moody Rd, towards Warner Robins, when I noticed the passenger in the SUV that was coming towards me in the other lane was pointing up into the sky behind me. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a weird object in the sky. It was not moving very much, but did not look like a plane, it was very shiny, but not the shape of a plane. It caught my eye so much that I actually pulled over and got out of the car to get a better look. A few seconds later it was gone and out of sight.
The only reason I am bring this up is because today on a news site I go to each day they have an article linked to a news station in Hawaii with a picture of the exact same thing I saw!!! (Click here for their story) They have video but the video is not working (conspiracy?). So like I totally saw a UFO! Yup I believe…..zippit Scully.

Well, scooter asked me tonight if everyone out there would say a little prayer for her, she is having a rough time. It seems that Scooter is having a problem with her eye and vision. She had a pretty quick onset of what appears to be glaucoma in her right eye. Her eye is pretty bad, we had two vet visits in one day. It is now in God’s hands, along with her eye drops, we pray they both can help to give back her vision in that eye, or help her over come a new obstacle that we all know she can do. She is a precious beautiful little dog, and she still has plenty of licks to give out. We love you Scooter, now go get the ball.

Scruffy enjoys the simple things in life, this is one of them. If he can find a way to be under a cover then that is where he goes. This one is just to funny not to share.

My mom bought Jackie and I a “very nice” espresso machine for Christmas. I have made them in the past with the old one and never have been every impressed, but last night we sat down and watched the DVD that came with this one, yup it came with a DVD! That is some fancy stuff right there, and clearly according to the DVD I have been doing it all wrong. Me being a man thinking I can make a simple coffee, no no no, I was doing it all wrong. So here is a picture of my very nice espresso. You are all welcome over anytime for some Nagohbucks, and if you are really adventurous I will drop a shot of whiskey in there for ya, kickin it up Hogan Style!

Peanut Butter (no nuts)
Don’t

I took this picture from our doorway after an amazing full rainbow last week. You can kinda see the rainbow filtering through as the storm clouds clear. It is one of my favorite pictures, so I thought I would share.

Being an Uncle is a fun role to have in life. you get to be an adult figure who is in charge, but also have a little fun with kids knowing they are not your own. Plus you can give them back at the end of the day to let mom and dad deal with the consequences of your actions. However I struggle with being one who likes to keep order. Going to Atlanta today was Jackie and I’s first day trip with three boys who were and are all in all excellent, but also are a handful when together. I was curious to see how it was going to play out. I find myself getting into a certain “mode” or “mood” before any child is placed in my care, and that “mode” being an enforcer of sorts. I tend to be tough, firm, but fair. The struggle Jackie and I realized is how tough is too tough? You want them to have fun, but you also want to put an end to questions and comments like “when are we going home?, can I have a snack? I don’t want to hold your hand, don’t touch your brother, put down the stick, are we there yet, I don’t need to tee-tee, I need to tee-tee”. I could go on. Anyway, I call it tough love, because J and I would do just about anything for our nephews and niece, but being tough can also leave a feeling of guilt inside, because we want them to take away all the fun they had, and not how mean Aunt Jackie and Uncle Greg can be. I have a lot to learn about being a parent when that day comes, and my hat if off to you who are, because it is no walk in the park. Kids will be kids and sometimes you just have to pick your battles with them.
The pictures are not the best, the lighting was poor which caused a lot of blurriness, plus I found it difficult to take pictures and keep track of three boys, a skill which I have not yet mastered. Anyway, here are the best of the ones taken at the Georgia Aquarium. Enjoy!
