Today the doctor visit went very well, it was real fast, they did another listen of the babies heartbeat, it was very loud and strong, it took no time at all to find it unlike last time. It was very exciting!
Ok thats all.

My Grandmother has had her share of dogs, two dogs stand out the most. Tiny and Monty. As you can see in the picture this is NOT a picture of Tiny. This is Monty. He was a gentle giant. When I was young I would ride him like a horse, he wouldnt care. He would however slobber something feirce. It was so gross. I wish I had a picture of Tiny, he was about Scooters size and color, but had Scruffys face. He was my best friend every summer. That is all I got, came across the picture and thought I would share it. I thought he deserved a place in cyberspace.
Today is “System Administrator Appreciation Day” I think this day is for all techies really. If you know anything about computers, you usually get caught with some sort of computer task for family and friends. So today, be sure to give the techie in your life a hug to let them know you appreciate their brilliance.

Jackie and I took a little trip to “Alabama/Georgia/Tennessee/Georgia/Tennessee/Alabama” (inside joke) this weekend. We did some cave exploring which I thought was pretty awsome. We met a young couple from Kerry Ireland, he was from Ballybunion which is where all the Irish people go when the sun comes out. Its like Daytona Beacn for Irish people just much prettier. I have been there a few times, so that was neat to meet someone from there. It sure is a small world. We also took a side trip to the “Unclaimed Baggage Store” in my personal opinion I think all the good stuff was “claimed” long before we ever get to see it. Then we moved onto “Rock City” that was actually pretty neat, a fun place to take a walk and enjoy a good view. Click the famous “Rock City” picture above to see pictures from our trip.

Believe it or not I am smiling in this picture….I was however VERY sick when this picture was taken. I had the “MUMPS” if you are not sure what that is, follow the link. Why am I smiling? Well it was Christmas morning, and I had in my possession the Millennium Falcon, the fastest ship in the galaxy. I was the ONLY kid in the street with this, and at that very moment, my life was complete. I was so excited to find this picture, because it proves that I actually owned an original piece of Star Wars history. I loved that ship. If I had it today I could probably retire.Being sick with the mumps sucks, I remember trying to eat a snickers, my first snickers ever (they were called Marathons in Ireland). I could not open my mouth to eat it….how sad is that? I did however have my Star Wars toys, and life was good for that very reason.
My Dad took this picture for a photography class he was taking back in 1984. It is the only picture I know of that my Dad ever took of me. (Mom did all the picture taking) I was in 1st grade when this was taken. Most of the pictures he took were of fishing hooks and lures, I never got what that was all about, but now when I think about it, it was “art” in a way. Jackie always tells me I am very creative, whether it be photos, stories, making videos or just crazy ideas in general. If I have a creative side where did I get it from? I have never thought about that questions until now, and finding this picture tonight made me think of Dad and his photography class he took. With layouts of weird negatives consisting of fishing hooks and fishing weights all so randomly lay ed out, who knew that was art? I did not. I just thought he didn’t know how to use a camera and wanted to go fishing so bad he took pictures of his baits to help ease to pain of not being out there fishing. But guess what Dad? It seems deep down your an artist, and you rubbed off on me, because people close to me think I have some creative juices flowing, and I got them all from you. Or they could just be being polite because they love me . Haahaaa.
Anyway back to the picture and the details of that day. I remember Dad having a real hard time getting all these boys to line up for this picture, little Irish boys can be a very troublesome when it comes to taking orders. As you can see though, I have no problems following directions from my father, I lined up, I smiled and a picture was made. It was my first year of school, and he captured it very well. What is amazing to me is how in one picture so much can be said for each little face that is in it. Each face has a personality that matches what I remember that boy being like. You have the following emotions in this picture, Emotion, Loneliness, Anger, mischievous, shyness, and happiness. They all now have a face that lives on forever online.
