Why is my keyboard in the trash you might ask? It sure looks like a nice keyboard, (it was, I was very fond of it). So lets start at the beginning. I was coming into work and walking down the hallway when I was greeted by the most ginormous cockroach ever! It was as big as scruffy! He was sitting on the doorway just waving his little receptors, as if to say “Hola Señor Greg!” I almost took out my camera to take a picture, but quite frankly I never wanted to see him again so I didnt.
So on I go to my desk and sit down, push ctrl-alt-delete as I do every morning without thinking and proceed to login. Then out of the corner of my eye I see this flash of movement beneath my keyboard keys, it was fast but it was there, right under QWERTY he ran, it was then I noticed another smaller but just as disgusting roach running back and forth under my keys trying to get out, I started pounding on the keys D and I and E and M and O and T and H and E and R……you get the idea….at this failed attempt to squish him with my keys of death I pulled out the compressed air, ohh he just loved this! He rolled over like Scooter getting a belly rub and enjoyed the cold compressed air blowing on his cockOnards. I picked up the keyboard and tried to fling him out, cables and USB ports flying everywhere, but nooooo he remained firm. I pulled out my pocket knife and started poppin the keys off my board! N and O and ESC. He fell to the floor with another powerful blow from my compressed air can and SQUISH! He is now one with the carpet.
Did it end there? Oh no…how could it? After having such a workout, I needed some water, so I head to the water fountain with my #7 water bottle that may or may not kill me. As I am filling my water bottle and telling a co-worker about my ordeal, she pulls off her shoe and starts slamming it against the water fountain! I jump back and look down to see there was another cockroach running for his life as a pink sandal came flying towards him. He made it into a crack and has not been heard of since. Today has been a day of days, I just thought I would share with with you all.
