So once again Thanksgiving has come and gone, I would like to say a few things about it. First to my Mom and Dad, I missed you guys, I love you and really wish you could have been a part of it all. I am thankful for you both and all the sacrifices you have made and still continue to make. Bringing Jenn and I to this country is something I am very thankful for. I know you gave up a lot for us, and I have not and will never forget that. You should also know that this family I have married into takes wonderful care of me, and loves me very much. They have their moments where I just throw my hands up in the air and wonder how and why, but I would never tell them that. Jenn you should really get in on this crazyness next year, I will pick you up at 4am.
;)

With that being said here is the Thanksgiving Top Ten List.

10. Amy and I will be signing up for next years Amazing Race. Six stores in 30 minutes all before 7am, hunting for a helicopter that was returned the next day.

9. Benjamin being rejected by the mesh screen door as he hit it at full speed. Thank you for avoiding an ER trip.

8. Getting fashion advice from a transportation worker in the middle of Belks, who knew that line of work gives such good advice. May God Bless her where ever she is.

7. Going to Starbucks and ordering 1 Vinte Javachip and getting 4 Grande Javachips instead. God Bless the evil corporate machine.

6. Kelly makes the realization that her dad is “that crazy man” upon seeing him gathering seeds from parking lot trees.

5. Calling to order the “Pork Belly Meeting” of drawing names for Christmas and respecting the “Pepper Mill” and what it symbolizes.

4. Bob C. showing a manager his disgruntled face when he is told his $25 of $75 coupon does not apply to the items he spent an hour fighting ThanksGiving shoppers for. (Don’t worry he got what he wanted)

3. Seeing Danny hug on Chublinka at Starbucks, priceless. (see photos from Cell Phone on the right)

2. Seeing Papa mix mash potatoes in his workshop, he made an Irishman proud. (see picture below)

1. The Mama kept wondering why her cell phone battery would not last very long, upon investigation it would seem that 40 phone calls a day might have something to do with it, and yes that is an exact number.

Press Release 14 Nov 2007

Vader Found

After being wrongly accused of a cruel kidnapping of Vader Tader. Doug formed a task force to free Vader from his captors.

During the investigation Doug discovered the whereabouts of the victim and proceeded without backup. A fight broke out and the kidnappers escaped but Vader was recovered. More details to follow.

More details forthcoming pending family notification.

The End.

****************************************************

I am closer to finding the mastermind behind it, see pictures below. After an Investigation CSI has blocked off the location. Also a key piece of evidence has been taken, and will be returned when Tater is returned.

Yup, it gets worse.

In a gesture of good faith we are sending a Proof Of Life photo of Vader with todays paper. Also attached is what will happen to Tater Vader if our demands are not met. It is useless to look for him because he has been transferred to a safe house for holding.

Again,

Put the blue crocks (shoes only) in a brown bag and deliver them to the training room in building G of the Herman Reagan Building. If this is not done, the next time you see Vader he will be extra crispy and salted.

So Vader was kidnapped today. It looks like my pranks at work are catching up to me, swapping keys on the keyboard, changing peoples login sounds, tormenting Yoda, flipping campaign sings on the city counsel mans/webmasters car upside down. These things come at a cost. So below is the email I got from the “kidnapper” they are going under the name “JessiePutter@gmail.com feel free to email them. I have replied to them explaining that Darth has asthma and also has high blood pressure, he needs his meds. I am not sure where this will lead, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve.

Hogan,
We have Vader and are holding him hostage. If you want to see him again follow the rules and do exactly what we tell you or kiss him good bye.
1. You have to eat a sandwich with real meat on it in front of your wife.

2. Submit your light blue Crocks in a plain grocery bag and deliver it to the training room in building G of the Herman Reagan Center.”

The Kidnapper

Now my first reaction is to take a stand and not negotiate with terrorist. That is the American way. However, I am Irish and we also do not negotiate, but we are pretty crafty with situations like these. The 1st rule is not to panic. Show no fear, that is what they want. How do you do this? Well, you have a drink, and thats what I did.

2nd, we get creative. This will require a few more drinks, but by Monday I may not have Vader back, but I will have their attention.

As of now I am in false negotiations……this is all part of my plan.

Oh yes, this little fella is still tormenting my yard and my soul. He was on my door step the other night, he wanted to borrow a cup of sugar. He is getting bold. I snapped this picture before he ran off into the night laughing.

Halloween, Birthday, Trickster Party.

Being a Nard, Birthdays!, Family, Photos 1 Comment »

Saturday night was like any other night, except for all the crazy fun we had! So for Little B’s birthday I thought it would be fun to have the kids dress up again, and do a little belated Halloween Party/Birthday Party. Danyelle added to the mix, why not the adults dress up too! Sure I say, why not! Until I show up and Mr. C and I are the only nards in costume. I was a Yank visiting Ireland, he was a basketball player from Team Wal-Mart. Thanks D for tricking us, but payback is around the corner, so sleep with one eye open.

So, when Hogan plans a party, its about tormenting the kids. How many Jelly beans in the jar? Pin the Christmas bow on the pumpkin, and how much does the pumpkin weigh? Emmett won that one, nice job. The game that seemed to be the hit, was the apple on the string. So as I am sure you want pictures? , here they are in slide show presentation. Enjoy. For those users on base who cant see the slide show, click here. (see I am watching out for you).
