Every Sunday when I was growing up meant a trip to see my Nana out in the county. It was about a 40 minute drive out to County Limerick. I loved it. I looked forward to it every weekend. Here are a list of things I would look forward to:

1. Hot tea with lots of Sugar!
2. Dripping cookies into my hot tea and sugar!
3. Apple Pie or Rhubarb Pie!
4. Chocolate!
5. Finding an awesome stick to play with.
6. Wandering the hills.
7. Heating doughnuts over the fire and rolling them in sugar.
8. Playing with Tiny the wonder dog.
9. Playing in the GIANT SHED!
10. Going to Lough Gur.

Yesterday we took a trip to see Mamó. I was reminded of the Sunday drives to see my grandmother. Now I was doing the same for Desmond, taking him to see his. It made me realize how old I am getting, but somethings never change, we maybe in a different part of the world, doing different things, and have very different lives, but taking a small boy to see his Mamó still brings out the excitement in a child. That is one thing that will never change.

1. Hot tea with lots of Sugar! —– Nana always has the best tea.
2. Dripping cookies into my hot tea and sugar! —– yes loved dipping my bickie in the hot tea and having it melt in my mouth. Unless it was fig newtons because Nana said the insides were flies.
3. Apple Pie or Rhubarb Pie!—-Americans just dont understand why I walk around craving Rhubarb pie.
4. Chocolate! —–Mars Bars—-
5. Finding an awesome stick to play with.—–I liked finding differnt shaped rocks and making stuff with them. One time I made a leprechaun and it came to life.
6. Wandering the hills. —– and going and fetching the hares daddy shot.

9. Playing in the GIANT SHED!—–The hanger.
10. Going to Lough Gur.—–Didnt you fall through the ice one time, while “ice skating”
11. Nanas toast with butter was the best toast in the world. Even cooking it in my oven I CANT get the exact taste right.
12. Playing in Uncle Kenneths shed, that was like our own little play house.
13. Getting electrocuted EVERY Sunday. Cuz you would promise me that the fence wasnt on!!!!
14. Doing the Choppa Choppa in the back bed room.
15. Picking strawberries and putting them in milk and topping off with sugar

I love that picture!! So, so good. Also, I am laughing at Jenn’s comment. I can’t even believe she agreed to go on a date with you last week after you set her up for electrocution every weekend as children. I would’ve definitely made you open the door for me EVERY time after living through something like that! Just sayin’.

You know what, I cant believe I went on a date either. Greg Next time you are paying.
